Up Next is our passion project currently in the research and development stage focused on creating a dynamic Video on Demand (VoD) platform. The platform aims to integrate automated AI tools to measure growth, analyse content performance, and track revenue, while streamlining a single, accessible marketplace for filmmakers to distribute their work and for audiences to discover diverse content.

We envision the platform as a dedicated space for showcasing student and independent films. Designed as a two-sided marketplace, Up Next will empower filmmakers to publish their work while providing audiences with seamless access to unique, thought-provoking films through ticketed viewing.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between emerging filmmakers and the distribution industry, creating more opportunities in an otherwise highly competitive field. With limited openings for a growing number of graduates, Up Next aims to support and sustain creative talent by laying the groundwork for a space where filmmakers can share their vision and thrive.

Beyond distribution, the platform is intended to evolve into a living archive for student and independent films, preserving fresh and diverse storytelling. It will also offer audiences a safe, curated space to explore groundbreaking work from the next generation of filmmakers. In alignment with the Welsh Government’s focus on addressing the disconnect between education and industry employment, Up Next aims to play a meaningful role in fostering future career pathways for young creatives.
